Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. and her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's aptitude for sports was evident from the moment she began her studies at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After only 10 weeks after her initial attempt, she came in second place in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed a sports contract with Adidas. Then she attended college at the University of Southern California and was a teacher in the elementary school. A year later Felix won the first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting a junior world record by taking 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion for the 200m race. She won the title the following year, by beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo regularly placing in the top three places in all her races.
